I'm Aimee Kelly. My husband, Zane, and I have a daughter who is four and a half years old.
Why did you start doing FIT4MOM classes?
When my daughter was around six months old I recognized that I needed to find a way to build in exercise to take care of myself mentally, emotionally, and physically so that I could be my best self for my daughter and husband. For me, exercise is the best stress reducer. And, I wanted to build my upper body strength in particular, so I could keep lifting my daughter as long as I wanted to! I'm happy to say I'm able to lift her over my head so she can sit on my shoulders now, and I know I wouldn't be able to with out regular strength building exercises.
What classes do you currently attend and why do you love them?
I started out with the 8-week Body Back Transformation class and eventually transitioned into the Advanced Body Back class. I also added on the Run Club this spring!
What's your favorite exercise and why?
Probably the ones I would never think to do on my own, that remind me to have fun, and make me laugh at myself bit--so I'd say the Star Jumps, Inchworms, or Speed Skaters!
What's your guilty pleasure?
Oh, this is a tough one to choose. But the top one right now is the chocolate chip ice cream sandwich that is made at Wildwood Market. They are made with Full Tilt ice cream and Grand Central Bakery cookies. Need I say more?
