Meet one of our newest members to our Body Back team, Advanced (aka SHRED) Instructor, Bryn Rueb. She can get your booty moving at 5:20am, you early morning Mamas!
Tell us about yourself and your family.
I am a mother to a sweet and happy 7 month old little boy Charles Tucker and a step mom to Mei Lin who is 7 years old. Mei is pretty much the coolest kid on earth and I am so lucky to be marrying their father Lucas on September 1st. Lucas and I met when Mei was 3 years old he was a widowed single dad raising an amazing kid alone. I chose to make a career change to something more flexible with scheduling. So i left the corporate world and became a rehab Pilates instructor where i have worked for the past 4 yrs. I joined Fit4mom to get my wedding body back and drank the kool-aide. I loved everything it stood for and the way it made me feel. I will not be fitting in that size 2 wedding dress but i have learned to be happy with what my body is right now at this moment. I hope to inspire others the way they have inspired me.
What surprised you the most once you became a mom?
I am most surprised with how much I truly love being a mother even though I have never been so tired. I've worked with a lot of mothers over the past couple years, helping them with rehab postpartum and I never understood their physical changes/challenges. Now as a mother I know what it feels like to not be able to connect with my abs or the slight fear of doing a jumping jack. I am surprised with what our bodies go through and what they can overcome.
Why did you join FIT4MOM? Why do you love it?
I joined FIT4MOM because the instructors were real people, who knew what life was like after giving childbirth. They made me feel confident, motivated, inspired and like I belonged. I love being a part of such a warm hearted, encouraging, motivating group that does so much to help build others up and make them feel connected to themselves as well as each other.I enjoy seeing their faces as they gain confidence when hit there mini goals and dig a little deeper. I have been teaching 5:20am Shred classes and these ladies motivate me to wake up early every morning.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? If you didn't have any obstacles, what dream would you pursue?
I don't even know where i want to be tomorrow, hopefully still a part of this great community
What is your favorite go to piece of baby gear?
I don't think I could get anything done right now if i didnt have my ergo baby carrier.
Any advice for new moms?
Since I am still a new mother my advice would be take in every moment no matter how small you think it is. Be in the moment.
