Tell us about yourself and your family.
My husband Luc and I have been married for 10 years and have Josie who is 14 months March 3. Funny thing, Josie was born a month early and spent 3 weeks in NICU. We also have a 10 year old Schnauzer named Otto who is chased by Josie.
What surprised you the most once you became a mom?
I think I was most surprised by how time passes when you don't sleep for a year. One day you "wake up," a year has passed, and your little baby is pushing for independence and running circles around you.
Why did you join FIT4MOM? Why do you love it?
I joined because I needed encouragement and accountability to get fit and healthy to be able to keep up with my growing family. I love it because I get that encouragement and accountability without judgement for where I am at any moment - physically or emotionally, because I am building community and friendships with other moms, and I have the opportunity to know so many beautiful ladies and babies.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? If you didn't have any obstacles, what dream would you pursue?
In 5 years I hope to have another child or two and still be at home raising them all in our "forever" house.
Without obstacles hmmm...I would like to travel and maybe be some sort of personal travel planner and/or an interim foster parent.
What is your favorite go to piece of baby gear?
The rock'n play was a lifesaver when Josie was small and didn't want to be put down. I was alone much of the time and I used it to allow me to shower with her and have some place to set her that was light and mobile.
Any advice for new moms?
Don't be too hard on yourself. I know I don't keep up with my own ideals that I had before having Josie. I mess up a lot (at least in my mind) but I do the best I can and that is the best my little girl needs.
